Join the Community

The Life Tales Community is for carers, Case workers and therapeutic professionals who are walking alongside children in out-of-home care.

It is for everyone who wants gentle, story-based ways to support big feelings, worry, identity, and belonging — without clinical language or pressure.

Whether you are reading the books with a child, supporting a family, or using stories in your work, this community exists to help you feel less alone and more supported.

Why the Life Tales Community exists?

Life Tales began with a simple belief: that children in out-of-home care deserve stories that reflect their real experiences — not simplified versions or problem-focused narratives.

This community exists because stories don’t end when the book closes. Children, carers, and the people supporting them often carry questions, emotions, and moments that need time, space, and understanding to unfold.

The Life Tales Community was created to gently extend the stories beyond the page — offering connection, reflection, and support through shared understanding, not expectation or pressure

* The Life Tales Community is educational and supportive in nature and

does not replace therapeutic or crisis services.
