Join the Community

The Life Tales Community is for carers, Case workers and therapeutic professionals who are walking alongside children in Foster care.

It is for everyone who wants gentle, story-based ways to support big feelings, worry, identity, and belonging — without clinical language or pressure.

Whether you are reading the books with a child, supporting a family, or using stories in your work, this community exists to help you feel less alone and more supported.

Our Life Tales: At the Table offers:

The Life Tales Community was created to gently extend the stories beyond the page — offering connection, reflection, and support through shared empathy, education and empowerment. Join us as we come together AT THE TABLE to discuss all things foster care.

* The Life Tales Community is educational and supportive in nature and does not replace therapeutic or crisis services.

Life Tales acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we work and pays respect to Elders past and present. We recognise the ongoing impact of colonisation and the over-representation of Aboriginal children in out-of-home care, and we commit to culturally safe, trauma-informed practice that honours identity, connection, and belonging.
