"There is no single effort more radical in its potential for saving the world than a transformation of the way we raise our children"
My Story
As a foster carer and registered play therapist, I have been deeply privileged to witness the many ways young children share their stories — through words, through play, and through moments of quiet connection. To be trusted by a child who has experienced trauma is an honour that continues to humble me and shape everything I do.

My journey began 25 years ago in Early Childhood Education, and I have never looked back. Since then, I have dedicated my career to supporting children and families across a variety of settings, including Early Learning Centres, Out-of-Home Care services, and private practice.

Across every role, one truth has remained constant: children need to feel seen, heard, and safe. They deserve trauma-informed support and therapeutic resources that nurture healing, resilience, and connection.

In 2019, I stepped into the most meaningful role of my life — becoming a foster carer to the most incredible children you could ever meet. Yet despite all my training and experience, I struggled to find resources that not only valued children within their communities, but truly celebrated the joy, strength, and light that children in out-of-home care bring to the lives of those around them.

So Life Tales was created to do exactly that.
To shine a light on these remarkable children.
To honour their journeys.
To ensure they are seen.
To ensure they are heard.

Whether I am creating Life Tales or advocating for children’s rights, my commitment remains unwavering and unapologetic — children’s voices matter, and they deserve to be heard.
